The Ledro bath from Victoria + Albert. Named after Lake Ledro in Italy, the new Ledro bath is Victoria + Albert’s answer to the question: how do we reduce water usage without sacrificing design or a luxurious bathing experience? Victoria + Albert’s design team have used their expert understanding of ergonomics and the material capability of QUARRYCAST™ to create Ledro; a bath that doesn’t compromise in comfort, but has a low water capacity.
Volcanic Limestone™ is Victoria + Albert’s name for the very special white rock that is perfect for making baths and basins. It is formed when the elemental forces associated with liquid magma act upon surrounding soft, chalky limestone. The immense heat and pressure from the magma transforms the neighbouring rock into a new material made up of incredibly hard strands. Blending milled Volcanic Limtstone™ rock with high quality resins to bind these strands into a complex 3D matrix, the finished result is QUARRYCAST™ – a world class stone composite that delivers unrivalled strength, durability and beauty.
Victoria + Alberts new Standard Matt finish is different. Made in the cast, not by coatings or glaze, this is ‘100%’ Matt. The surface absorbs and diffuses light for a calming ambience. It has a velvety feel, gentle against the skin. Crafted from the same Volcanic Limestone™ material as the signature QUARRYCAST™ White Gloss finish, the Standard Matt option is naturally warm and retains the heat of the water encouraging you to relax for longer. The Standard Matt finish is available as a no-cost option across the best-selling baths and basins.
