The Barcelona 1700 freestanding bath from Victoria + Albert. Barcelona 1700 is designed for the modern bathroom. At 1700mm long it is perfectly suited to master suites or family bathrooms. Previously called Barcelona 2, Barcelona 1700 now features a chamfered rim for head and neck comfort, improved lower back support, and a void space underneath for waste plumbing.
Volcanic Limestone™ is Victoria + Albert’s name for the very special white rock that is perfect for making baths and basins. It is formed when the elemental forces associated with liquid magma act upon surrounding soft, chalky limestone. The immense heat and pressure from the magma transforms the neighbouring rock into a new material made up of incredibly hard strands. Blending milled Volcanic Limtstone™ rock with high quality resins to bind these strands into a complex 3D matrix, the finished result is QUARRYCAST™ – a world class stone composite that delivers unrivalled strength, durability and beauty.
Victoria + Alberts Standard Matt finish is made in the cast, not by coatings or glaze, this is ‘100%’ Matt. The surface absorbs and diffuses light for a calming ambience. It has a velvety feel, gentle against the skin. Crafted from the same Volcanic Limestone™ material as the signature QUARRYCAST™ White Gloss finish, the Standard Matt option is naturally warm and retains the heat of the water encouraging you to relax for longer. The Standard Matt finish is available as a no-cost option across the best-selling baths and basins.
Looking for something a little different? Personalise your bath, choosing from a spectrum of 199 colours in either gloss or matt. Victoria + Albert use the RAL colour system, so that colours can be easily matched with other decor. Contact our team for details.
